Whale shark
The whale shark is one of the rarest creatures of our planet. Whale sharks inhabits low latitudes of the world ocean. Although the existence of 20-metre specimens has been confirmed, scientists seldom have the opportunity to come across such giants. Seeing these majestic creatures in the wild is great luck.
This particular whale shark specimen was encountered by a group of divers (November 2019) in Ras Mohammed National Park in Egypt (the Red Sea not far from Sharm El Sheikh).
This video was shared with us by experienced divers Margharita and Igor Petrenko. We sincerely thank them for being able to witness the moment of discovering this giant whale shark near a coral reef.
